Holiday party

The holiday party ended up at the bar because the brewery was closed.  That was a bit bizarre, but it was a nice break and a good visit with all my colleagues.

Finishing

  • Dec 12, 2006

I finished Part 1 of 6 of the xmas present I'm knitting tonight.  Finishing knitting projects (which is the lingo for sewing everything togeher, weaving in the loose ends of the yarn, etc) is my least favorite part, but I had fun doing it tonight, and I am happy with the result.

Bought yarn and spent the afternoon knitting for the first time in a long time.  In fact, for the first time since I bought this laptop.  Feels good to have that back again.

Office finally finished

My office is finally finished, about 3 months after I moved in.  I was finally able to put all my stuff away and hang my art.  Makes a huge difference.

Craziness

Had a great weekend with the girls, followed by an OK office Xmas party.  Have leads on 2 new freelance projects plus one project about to start.  Trying to plan a 6 week vacation to Australia, and xmas shop on top of it all.  But I'm staying on top of things, so it's all good.

Installed Askimet on Jangly today, to try to quell the storm of comment spam we have been getting.  The install was easy as pie, which tastes much better than spam.
