How many pets have you owned in your lifetime? Tell us about them.

Francis & Felix were goldfish that I had when I was about 2 or 3. Every so often, one of them would disappear from the bowl. When I asked my mom where he was, she would say, "He swam back to K-Mart to see his friends". A couple of days later, he would be back. Thus, I fear I will not be able to accurately report how many goldfish I had as pets.
Flopsy was a cat I had at about the same time. She had 3 kittens-- Pepper, Scamper, and Frisky. I named Frisky. This was during the time when I was naming everything Frisky, including the robots I made out of my Legos. We gave the kittens away, and Flopsy "ran away" when we moved when I was 5.
Brandy was a dog we adoped from the pound that had an issue with housetraining. He liked to pee in my sister's bedroom, and we didn't keep him long.
Muffy was the best dog in the entire world, that I had from the time I was about 6 or so until the middle of college. She was a small mutt, they said she was part terrier, but it looked more like she was part daschund. She had the best trick called "doing the snake" where she would spread out on her belly with her back feet behind her and pull herself around by digging the claws of her front feet into the carpet. She would scoot around like this for what seemed like hours. She got breast cancer and had about a million surgeries, and still lived to be quite old. I miss her every day.
Solstice is a dog that is tied with Muffy for the best dog in the world. She is half Australian shepherd, half husky, and half genius, which you can see in the photo. She makes me laugh every day.
Gypsy is a cat that was born in the wild and we had to catch with a fishing net. She wanted nothing to do with us, until we opened up a can of cat food and gave her some. Then she started loving us, and she has slept cuddled up with me and purring ever since.
